The structure of this XIII° century old Castle is on a square base with two towers. The home is on three floors and its surface is about 900 square metres. It is located in the hinterland of Genoa and it was built on a rock between two rivers. A wide garden with rare plants and ever green trees creates a romantic atmosphere to this typical feudal surrounding. An old bridge, once a drawbridge opens the way to the Court paved of old bricks disposed like the fish-bone shape. There is a stone well, an old brick’s oven and two storing rooms located into the North/West Tower. Across one of the main entrance, we enter the ground floor hall and to the reception room with a large fireplace. Few steps take to a sitting room with a bar corner. From which a door takes to the garden, on the back side of the house. At this floor on the other side of the house, we have a large kitchen with a close wide storing room from which there is a service entrance door. Stairs covered with a red runner and an old hand-rail takes to the first floor where we have access to the main living room with its spectacular ceiling paintings and its slate and white marble floor. From this room we can have access to other four rooms with fireplaces, paintings and with the same slate and marble floor. From the 1° floor living room, an old door with its original irons and locks open the way to a beautiful Arcade with bas-relief and the same slate and marble pavement. Another stairs takes to the last floor where we can enjoy a different style with a wooden ceiling and a wooden floor, a large fireplace with wrought iron and copper, sofa and wooden benches. At this floor we have four beautiful wide rooms with its proper wardrobe and bathrooms. Here at this floor, we have the access to the two towers crossing a narrow terrace we get into the towers: both are the same size, round rooms with two windows. All the internal space has been maintained as well as all bathrooms, and Kitchen throughout the years up to now. A little Church completes the feudal surroundings: the interior of the Chapel is very suggestive with a huge Altar-piece of XVII century, its old slate and marble pavement , its original stucco work on the ceiling and a beautiful old crystal chandelier. From outside this little Church is really very elegant with a three-side bell-tower and a beautiful painting of the Holy Virgin Mary. The garden is wide and partially paved with flat stones to ease the pass of cars throughout a green area (on the back side of the Chapel) of about 5000 square meters. From this area there is another gate from where a road takes to the second exit. (The owner has a permanent permit to cross this way).
Thanks to these old walls we have a pleasant temperaure at home in summer and in winter the house is comfortably heated by a central heating system and two modern stoves installed on the ground floor. Recently a gas-pipeline is already supplying the neighbourings so that it is now much easier to be connected with.
